What does spotting mean when wearing the second Evra patch?

I should have applied the evra patch (the second one) on Sunday night, but I stuck it on Monday morning. Until Thursday it was normal, today pp noon there was spotting. What does this mean? I have been using patches for 1.5 months, before that I had a month's break and before that I used pucks. Can it be caused by a delay of several hours or the body is still getting used to the patches?

Intracyclic bleeding and spotting are common side effects, especially during the first few months of using the Evra contraceptive patch. They have no effect on the effectiveness of contraception and are usually not a cause for concern.
