Is it possible to replace Acenocoumarol with Eliquis?

I am 75 years old.7 years ago heart surgery after a heart attack, 3 bypasses and a mechanical valve. I take acenocoumarol all the time according to the current INR result. Eliquis is not equivalent to Acenocoumarol, so its use is decided by the attending physician. In my opinion, switching to Eliquis may be beneficial, it is a newer generation drug with anticoagulant effect, at which it is not necessary to control the INR result.
