The use of Gynoflor during breastfeeding poses a low risk to the baby. The estriol contained in the globule is likely to be excreted in milk in very small amounts. There is no evidence that children of women using vaginal estrogens show side effects. The drug probably does not adversely affect milk production either. The Lactobacillus acidophilus strain, which is the second component of Gynoflor, is also considered probably safe during breastfeeding.
