Medicines should not be used during pregnancy - unless the doctor conducting the pregnancy recommends otherwise. As for Tianesal, the manufacturer states the following: "No or limited data (less than 300 completed pregnancies) on the use of tianeptine in pregnant women are available. For this reason, it is recommended to avoid the use of tianeptine in every trimester of pregnancy." "It is beneficial for a woman to maintain mental balance during pregnancy. If treatment is necessary to ensure this balance, treatment should be initiated or continued throughout the pregnancy with the necessary dose, if possible alone. When monitoring the newborn, the pharmacological profile of the active substance should be taken into account." The manufacturer of Escipram states: "Escipram should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary and only after careful consideration of the risks and benefits."
