Both Zabak and Clemastinum are prescription drugs and the duration of therapy with these drugs is decided by the attending physician. Zabak are antiallergic drops that we use as follows: one drop of ZABAK into the conjunctival sac twice a day. The recommended duration of use is 30 days (unless the doctor recommends otherwise, then even up to several months). Clemastinum is an antiallergic syrup we use it as follows: 2.5 ml to 5 ml of syrup twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. The recommended duration of use is 7 days, until the itching subsides. The doctor may extend this period, but it should be remembered that long therapy may be associated with increased side effects, i.e. dry mouth, low amount of urination, drowsiness.
