Is numbness of the tongue after Mestino a normal symptom?

Good morning. After Mestinona I have a tingling tongue, a slight numbness that affects the fact that I start to speak a little indistinctly. I have to make an effort to speak clearly. Is this a normal symptom? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Mestinon can cause tremors, numbness of the muscles, which could cause difficulty speaking. However, it is not certain whether the drug is the cause in your case. Such symptoms may also occur in the course of the underlying disease (e.g. myasthenia gravis). I have no information on what your medicine is being taken for or how long it has been used, so it is not possible to give a definite answer. If the effect is caused by a drug, it can be assumed that after the body gradually gets used to the drug, the symptoms will disappear. If this effect persists/worsens, contact your doctor.
