Ramipril is a prescription drug, so it is the doctor who decides on its use, also taking into account the conditions from which the patient suffers. Kidney diseases are not an absolute contraindication to the use of the drug, but they should be taken into account. Before using ramipril, the doctor should evaluate and monitor the kidney function during treatment, making changes to the dosage of the drug based on the results obtained, especially at the very beginning of treatment. If your doctor prescribed your medicine and did not know about kidney disease, be sure to inform him. You may need to adjust your dose and introduce additional monitoring of your health.
