Can Corectin be used in pregnancy?

Good morning, I am 4tc+3 pregnant. I take corectin 5 mg in the morning the whole tablet and half in the evening. The attending physician said that for now I can take this drug, but I should consult a cardiologist. Of course, I will make an appointment as soon as possible, but I do not know how long it will last. Can this medicine actually be taken at the beginning of pregnancy? I'm worried that something might go wrong.

According to current medical knowledge, bisoprolol (Corectin) can be used during pregnancy – the likelihood of increasing the risk of spontaneous abortion and birth defects is minimal. The whole group of drugs, to which bisoprolol belongs, i.e. beta blockers, have been used by pregnant women for years, so we can talk about a good safety profile. The need for cardiological consultation is probably not due to fear for the child's health, but rather necessary to choose the right treatment for your symptoms. As a rule, gynecologists do not deal with the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which is why you have been referred to a specialist in this area. If you would like to take advantage of online medical advice, GdziePoLek has such a possibility.
