A beta-hCG hormone result of 74 mIU/ml indicates pregnancy. In a normally developing pregnancy, beta-hCG levels double every 48 hours on average and increase until the 9-12th week of pregnancy. At a later stage of pregnancy, it drops to 10-20% of the maximum value. It's up to you to decide whether or not to tell your partner.
