Good morning The son of 2.5 years has been struggling with nasal obstruction for a month. The initial infectious runny nose turned green - yellow and dense, from about 2 weeks of runny nose there is no but the obstruction remained. I have to give Bactroban to the nose and Polyvaccinum Mite for 3 weeks until the next check-up. My question is - can these preparations be combined (antibiotic with vaccine)?

There are no contraindications to the concomitant use of Bactroban and Plyvaccinum Mite. Bactroban ointment contains an antibiotic - bacitracin, Polyvaccinum Mite is a bacterial vaccine - it would seem that the antibiotic can negatively affect the bacterial vaccine, but the key is the fact that Polyvaccinum Mite contains inactivated bacteria, killed by high temperature, hence the bacitracin contained in the Bactroban ointment is not able to affect them. Please remember to clean your nose before administering medication. Before administering intranasal drugs, it is worth using an aerosol containing sea salt, e.g. Marimer: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/46429/marimer-spray-do-nosa-aerozol/apteki
