Keeping the tablet in your mouth before swallowing it does not affect its effectiveness. The tablet shell may dissolve, however, it is in this case that the effect of the drug is not affected - protection is provided. Answering your other question - eating hot chips also does not affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pills. There is no need to worry. In both situations, the tablets work properly.
