Why did my testosterone level decrease and estradiol levels decrease during testosterone therapy?

Hello, for 3 weeks I have been using Androtop gel 16.2mg / g at a dose of 2.5mg per day (two push-up presses), today after doing the tests the result of my testosterone has halved (1,650 now / 3,320 before use) I will add that estradiol has also increased by half (32 now / before use). I would like to know what is responsible for this state of affairs, and whether to use this gel to the end, because I have a follow-up visit only in a week. Best regards.

In order for the test results to be considered reliable, they should be carried out in the morning, before using Androtope. If you have acted in this way and the results show that the effect of the therapy is not satisfactory, you should present the result to your doctor - it may be necessary to increase the dose of the drug. As for elevated estradiol - here it is also worth consulting a doctor. It should be known that a periodic increase in estradiol concentration may accompany testosterone therapy because these hormones are actually dependent on each other. The aromatase enzyme turns testosterone into estrogen, eventually causing it to be excess. It is worth discussing the result of the examination with a doctor, because in this case taking substances aimed at increasing the amount of testosterone may not be appropriate, because it will have the opposite effect. A better treatment may be, for example, inhibiting the activity of the aromatase enzyme, thus preventing the production of an inflated amount of estrogen. In my opinion, it is necessary to visit a specialist to assess whether further testosterone therapy is the right solution in your case.
