The normal color of the stool after a single application of Feroplex does not indicate malabsorption. The black color of the stool usually appears after a few days. During treatment with iron preparations, the stools should be black or very dark, due to the presence of iron sulfides in them. The absence of this symptom indicates that iron is not administered or is administered irregularly.
