Hello. I am pregnant, I have blood type 0RHD-. My husband has just made a blood type because I need a pregnancy card. Its result is the ABO system. So what kind of group is it? The midwife said that the ABO system does not tell her anything, because the result does not say whether it is negative or positive. He tells you to go and learn more in the laboratory where the blood was taken.

"AB0" does not inform in my opinion about the result of the test - this is the name of the entire group system, within which the blood can be in group A, B, AB or 0. Group AB blood can be both Rh+ and Rh-, as any blood type, because the Rh system occurs independently. Your result is unequivocal - you have group zero blood and no D antigen, which is referred to as Rh-. If you have difficulty reading the test result, it is actually best to turn to the laboratory where it was performed.
