If after a few days of using Polprazole I do not see any improvement, is it the point of taking it longer?

Good morning, I am waiting for a visit to a specialist doctor, it seems to me that I have symptoms of reflux, it is not found, I get tired of heartburn and belching, so I take Polprazole without a prescription. If after a few days (probably 5) I do not see an improvement, is there any point in taking this drug longer? For a max of two weeks, as on a leaflet?

Polprazole belongs to the group of proton pump inhibitors, i.e. drugs that affect the production of hydrochloric acid by stomach cells - the effect is to reduce the acidity of gastric juice. As a standard, treatment should last about 2 weeks. Usually, during this time, the ailments should decrease and erosions should heal. I encourage you to read the leaflet of the preparation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/63082/polprazol-kapsulki/ulotka/101639 If you are unable to get to your doctor, the gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
