You have not written what exactly the drug is. If you are asking about Intrasite - please read on. Intrasite is a gel or hydrogel dressing. The gel consists of a modified polymer of carboxymethylcellulose, propylene glycol and water. Intrasite Conformable dressing is a non-woven dressing with Intasite hydrogel. Intrasite is supposed to dissolve and absorb the separating necrotic tissue. Sensitization is possible if the patient is allergic to any of the components of the medical device. Disturbing changes on the skin in any case are worth showing to the doctor.
