Alugastrin forte is a preparation containing Mucosave (extract from the leaves of Prickly Pear and the leaves of European Olive), sodium alginate, calcium carbonate. Its action is based on the coating of mucous membranes due to the content of the Mucosave complex. Sodium alginate by combining with hydrochloric acid in the stomach forms a gel that inhibits the regression of food content. Calcium carbonate reduces the acidity of gastric juice, has a neutralizing effect. Esoxx one consists of hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, xylitol C. It coats the mucous membranes of the esophagus due to the content of hyaluronic acid and chondroidin sulfate. It protects the upper gastrointestinal tract from symptoms such as heartburn, cough that appears with reflux. It is a mechanical barrier that protects against irritants of the esophagus. The side effects that occur when using Essox one or Alugastrin are poorly understood, so far no disturbing side effects have been observed. Side effects with both Esoxx and Alugastrin may be associated with hypersensitivity to the active or excipients.
