Levoxa contains levofloxacin - a drug with antibacterial effect - therefore, this drug can be used to treat bacterial angina. Usually, the drug of first choice for the treatment of bacterial angina is phenoxymethylpenicillin, however, depending on the type of bacteria that caused the infection or the patient's allergy, the doctor may order another antibiotic/drug with antibacterial effect.
