Can I expect weight gain or other effects after stopping Siofor XR?

The doctor prescribed me a 3-month course of treatment with siofor xr for 2 weeks dose of 750 and then 1500, can you expect weight gain or other effects after discontinuation of the drug?

Common side effects of Siofor XR are characteristic of the period during which the drug is taken. The preparation has no addictive properties, there are also no "withdrawal symptoms" after the end of therapy. In my opinion, no particular effects should be expected after its discontinuation. However, side effects should be distinguished from the disappearance of the healing effect - after the end of the course of treatment, the drug will no longer work. This means that it will no longer exert its influence on carbohydrate metabolism (the registered indication for this drug is the treatment of diabetes). The use of Siofor XR is associated with both weight stabilisation and moderate weight loss. However, it is not a "slimming" preparation. Weight gain is most dependent on the energy balance - the amount of food consumed and physical activity.
