There is no single, correct answer to this question, because we do not know what dose of metformin you are writing about and about the other drugs that you use, do we not know the reasons for introducing Metformax therapy into your therapy. Perhaps this is a small dose and increasing it in your case would be advisable, and perhaps not. A precise answer should be given by your attending physician. However, please note that medicines containing metformin do not directly act to lower blood glucose levels (such as insulin). Metformin has several mechanisms of action: (1) it reduces the production of glucose in the liver by inhibiting gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis, (2) in the muscles increases insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and its consumption, (3) it delays the absorption of glucose in the intestine. Increasing the dose can increase the sensitivity of tissues to insulin and contribute to better results. However, please remember that increasing the dose may also not change anything if you have not changed your current eating habits and regular physical activity - which is the basis of treatment. In case of side effects of the drug such as diarrhea, abdominal pain - please remember about proper hydration. You can order electrolytes using GdziePoLek online or with home delivery, e.g.: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/57955/orsalit-smak-neutralny-proszek-do-wytworzenia-zawiesiny/apteki If the symptoms are bothersome - talk to your doctor about further treatment options. In the case of long-term use of metformin, it is worth considering vitamin B12 supplementation if it turns out that there is a deficiency or factors that increase the risk of its deficiency even more. An example of a preparation with vitamin B12 is, for example: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/23254/diab12-kapsulki/apteki I also leave links to articles that may interest you: Which glucometer to choose? https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jaki-glukometr-wybrac-analiza Drugs for diabetes and obesity: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/nowe-leki-na-otylosc-i-cukrzyce-jak-nie-dac-sie-oszukac What is insulin resistance? https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/insulinoopornosc-i-stan-przedcukrzycowy-o-krok-od-cukrzycy I also invite you to our YouTube channel, where there are several videos available on similar topics:

You did not give the name of the drug in the question. If your question concerns Metformax marked in the tags, please read on. The dosage of Metformax should be carried out under the supervision of the attending physician. The use of too high a dose of the drug increases the risk of side effects such as lactic acidosis. I enclose an example description of the preparation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/48569/metformax-1000-tabletki-powlekane/apteki If you think that the recommended doses of the drug are too low, I encourage you to consult your doctor.
