How should Metypred be discontinued?
Hi I take the drug metypred 4 mg 5days three times later 5 days twice and 5 days one tablet. And set aside. Will there be no withdrawal effects? If it takes in the morning at 10.30 am, should I take the second one at 16.30 or later? What is the time to be like twice a day?

Metypred belongs to a group of medicines called glucocorticosteroids. These drugs are not discontinued overnight. The withdrawal process consists in a gradual reduction of the dose, thus reducing the possibility of side effects associated with the abrupt discontinuation of therapy. This is the dosage regimen you have been given. It is best to take medicines at approximately equal intervals, i.e. if the first dose is taken around 10 am, the second dose should be taken around 10 pm.
