As a rule, according to the medical rules of blood collection, contraindications to blood donation are diseases that may become a danger to the donor or recipient. Ichthyosis as an incurable disease with a genetic basis unfortunately disqualifies to perform the procedure of blood donation, despite the fact that it is not an infectious disease.
