Indeed, the package leaflet of Zulbex states that it should not be used in children. Such a procedure is not recommended due to the lack of experience regarding the use of the preparation in this age group. However, this does not immediately mean that the doctor was mistaken. In some situations, doctors prescribe medication to children despite age-related limitations, if their knowledge and experience show that doing so will be beneficial to the patient. This is the conduct of the so-called off-label therapy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami However, the doctor should explain to the parent or guardian of the child why he orders such therapy, what effects he expects and what are the possible risks. If you have any doubts about the ordered therapy, it is best to contact your doctor directly.
