Can weakness, drowsiness and dizziness be the result of discontinuation of Venlectine?

Hi I took venlectine for some 9msc. Dose 75mg, and last month 37.5mg for withdrawal. I stopped this Saturday, then I took the last pill. And on Monday I started to feel strangely so weakened, a little sleepy, dizzy. Is this normal? And will it subside or should I talk back to the doctor to resume the drug?

Yes, these symptoms may be the result of withdrawal of venlafaxine, the active substance in Venlectine. Withdrawal symptoms are relatively common when using this medicine, but they are usually mild or moderate and disappear spontaneously most often within 2 weeks. The duration of such symptoms can extend up to 2-3 weeks in some patients. If your symptoms get worse or prevent you from functioning every day, contact your doctor who prescribed this medicine.
