Is it safe to use Nasometin in a 2-year-old? When to discontinue nasometin before visiting an allergist so that it does not affect the result of allergy tests?

Hello, corka 2 year old has had a runny nose for 3 months, typically allergic, but we are waiting another month for a visit to an allergist. All the time there is an ear infection from a stuffy nose, the pediatrician prescribed us Nosometin once a day for one dose per night. Is it safe at such an age? How much before visiting an allergist should we stop taking the drug so that it does not disturb the allergy tests?

Nasometin should be used as directed by your doctor. According to the registration, the drug is intended for children from 3 years of age, however, it happens that it is also prescribed for younger children. Use as directed by your doctor is safe for your child. In case of any disturbing symptoms, I encourage you to consult your doctor again: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/51630/nasometin-aerozol/ulotka/183212 I attach an additional opinion on this topic: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/8115/nasometin-czy-moge-podac-nasometin-6-5-miesiecznemu-dziecku Nasometin does not affect the result of allergy tests. There is no need to end the treatment prematurely before visiting an allergist.
