Can the appearance of a wet cough in the day and thick saliva be an allergic reaction to Xyzal?

Hello, the doctor for a runny nose for more than a monthwrote us first Xyzal in syrup for my 4-year-old daughter. After a week of taking it and poor improvement, nasometin added. Can the appearance of a wet, fairly frequent cough during the day and thick saliva (basically one dose each) and grunting be an allergic reaction to Xyzal?

Coughing and grunting are usually not the result of an allergic reaction to the medicine. Xyzal should help with allergic symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching. Side effects may be, for example, headache, drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth. Grunting and coughing may be associated with the discharge flowing down the throat wall. It is very important in this case to clean the nose regularly, e.g. with sea water, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/46429/marimer-spray-do-nosa-aerozol/apteki?pvid=101776#internetowe We do not clean the nose after applying Nasometin. If we use both products - first we clean the nose, then we apply the drug. If the treatment does not have an effect - it is worth talking about it with the doctor, because perhaps something else causes the said runny nose.
