Clinically, clonazepam has anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, sedative, moderately hypnotic effects and reduces skeletal muscle tone. In practice, medicinal products containing clonazepam are only indicated for the treatment of epilepsy in children and adults. Anxiety disorders are not an indication for the use of this drug. There are drugs on the market for the treatment of anxiety disorders, characterized by high efficacy and a better safety profile compared to clonazepam. Please do not hesitate to visit a specialist who, after collecting a full interview, will choose the best treatment for you.
