Can Xifaxan cause paroxysmal atrial fibrillation?

Good morning I have to start taking Xifaxan I read that palpitations may occur or in the case of paroxysmal fibrillation this drug will not cause them? Do these palpitations occur after each dose taken?. Once a long time ago when taking PartusistenU I had large palpitations that passed after about an hour or now it can also be so that they themselves will pass or is it better to contact a doctor?.

I don't know about anyone else butmy exodus was: several years ago, my doctor tried me on this. Not long after starting it, I noticed what I thought was my heart skipping beats on a regular basis, even just sitting watching TV. It scared me so bad after a week that I was taken to the ER. I was used to an occasional flutter or skip but these went off and on all day and night long. After the tests, they said that I was having pvcs. The ER doctor explain to me that it wasn't advising skipping a beat, but instead a backwards(?) beat? OnceI quit taking it, those constant ones went away and back to occasionally ever several months.

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, one of the uncommon side effects of Xifaxan is palpitations, not atrial fibrillation. Palpitations are a subjective, unpleasant heartbeat sensation resulting from changes in the frequency, rhythm or strength of its contraction. Palpitations can be talked about when the heart beats excessively strongly, the frequency of its beats is increased, or when the frequency of heartbeats is slightly changed and the patient feels them inadequately as excessive. Palpitations can occur in healthy people or may be a symptom of a disease. Xifaxan, like any drug, has been tested for safety and efficacy. It may or may not cause side effects, such as palpitations. This does not mean, however, that they will definitely occur, and certainly not after each dose taken. You may not experience any of the side effects described in this leaflet. It should be emphasized that the body's reaction to a specific drug is an individual feature, difficult to estimate for an outsider who does not know your state of health or medical records. I enclose a detailed description of the preparation you are asking about: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/84652/xifaxan-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/153415
