No, because stomach flu, intestinal flu or bowel flu is a disease of the digestive system caused by viruses. Nifuroxazide is used for acute or chronic diarrhea in bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g. food poisoning). Nifuroxazide does not act on viruses and is not effective in virus-induced infections. "Jelitówka" is unfortunately very contagious. The only possible prevention is compliance with hygiene rules - first of all, thorough hand washing or disinfection of frequently touched surfaces.
