Symazide should be taken once a day. The drug should be taken in the morning, during breakfast. If blood glucose is not adequately controlled, the dose can be gradually increased to 60, 90 or 120 mg per day. The dose should be increased no earlier than 1 month, except in patients whose blood glucose levels have not decreased after two weeks of treatment. In these cases, the dose may be increased at the end of the second week of treatment. As this is a prescription medicine, you should consult your doctor each time you change your dose.
