The child is 3 years old has a runny nose green and dense. If the child's condition deteriorates despite the use of over-the-counter drugs, this should prompt you to contact your pediatrician. Medication counseling should be based on the child's anamnesis and face-to-face examination. Your doctor may also confirm or rule out a diagnosis. On the basis of your entry, I can only suggest cleansing the nose with salt preparations and extracting secretions with an aspirator. Doing so may bring relief to the child, but if there has been an infection that also affects the lower respiratory tract, it will only be supportive.
