In the case of chronic vaginal mycosis, determined by the gynecologist after treatment, can I still infect my partner? The doctor recommended abstinence about 1-1.5 weeks and prescribed a course of treatment. After this time, however, can there still be an infection of the partner during intercourse?

In the case of complete cure of vaginal mycosis, there is no possibility of infecting a partner. However, if you suspect an undertreatment of the infection, there is a possibility of transmission of the infection. The use of e.g. a mechanical barrier in the form of a condom during intercourse should prevent possible infection. I also encourage you to consult a doctor who should also offer treatment for your partner. It happens that ringworm is asymptomatic and you may become infected with secondary infection during intercourse, which can lead to chronic vaginal mycosis.
