Ozempic is a solution for injection medicine containing semaglutide, an analogue of the human glucagon-like peptide -1 (GLP-1). The preparation is obtained in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells by recombinant DNA. Indicated for use alone for adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus or in combination with other glycaemic-lowering medicinal products.
