Does the cream (Ovestin) opened for 2 hours lose its effect?

Does an open cream for 2 hours (Ovestin) lose its effect? I forgot to turn off the cork.

Ovestin should be stored below 25 °C out of the reach and sight of children. To my knowledge, after 2 hours, the unscrewed cream has not lost its healing properties and can still be used safely.
