I have hypothyroidism, (hashimoto?) androgenic ovaries, and from the gynecologist I got a prescription for: inafolic combi. From what I read, it is recommended for women planning pregnancies. I do not plan, but only want to cure the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Do I need this medicine at all?

Perhaps your gynecologist diagnosed you with "polycystic ovary syndrome", which can lead to an excess of androgens in the body. It is believed that inositols, which are a component of Inofolic Combi, may be helpful in this condition. The preparation also contains folic acid, which is actually especially needed by women during the period of trying for a child, but its intake should not harm you in any way. If you would like to know exactly what is the planned role of Inofolic Combi supplementation in your individual case, you should talk about it directly with the doctor who recommended the product and has more information about you.
