The doctor in the above case saved the drug based on his best knowledge, experience and current medical literature, not the manufacturer's indications. This is a very common situation. The full antihypertensive effect of the preparation is achieved after 4-8 weeks of treatment, perhaps the doctor wants to shorten this period.
