Which doctor will perform an ultrasound of the abdomen? Will the gynecologist perform an ultrasound of the abdomen and check the kidneys? I have kidney and lower abdominal pain on Monday I go to the gynecologist . Will the gynecologist check the kidneys during the abdominal ultrasound or do you need another doctor?

The gynecologist can examine the abdomen and perform an ultrasound of the kidneys. However, this is not a typical gynecological "service". It may be necessary to visit a family doctor who will refer you for ultrasound, e.g. in a POZ clinic - the examination is usually performed there by an internist or radiologist.
