Will the use of Evra patches increase my reproductive age and later I will have menopause?
Good morning. After the fourth pregnancy, I got a prescription for Evra patches. I have already read a lot about this drug. I know that this substance inhibits the release of eggs from the ovaries . But what's really going on with them. It is also known that a woman has a certain amount of these eggs. My question is this: are they put to sleep and waiting for the end of the treatment with this drug, or do they die along the way in the fallopian folds? The question is whether by using this drug I will increase the time of my reproductive age and later I will have menopause?

U kobiet stosujących antykoncepcją hormonalną w postaci pigułki nie dochodzi o dojrzewania pęcherzyka Graafa, który uwalnia komórkę jajową (nie dochodzi do owulacji). Można więc powiedzieć, że ma miejsce spowolnienie spadku rezerwy jajnikowej, jednak nie można tego procesu utożsamiać z "zamrożeniem" jajników na potem czy przedłużeniem okresu płodności kobiety. Na możliwość zajścia w ciążę nie składa się jedynie ilość dostępnych jajeczek, ale także inne czynniki, pośród których krytyczny jest wiek.
Antykoncepcja hormonalna nie opóźnia również klimakterium, chociaż może maskować jego objawy, ponieważ nadal występują krwawienia z odstawienia, a hormony z tabletki łagodzą niektóre typowe objawy przekwitania.
