Niestety nie zaleca się stosowania leku Castagnus podczas używania hormonalnej terapii zastępczej czy antykoncepcji hormonalnej. Owoc niepokalanka, który zawarty jest w leku Castagnus wywiera działanie estrogenowe i dlatego nie można wykluczyć interakcji (konkurencji o receptory) tych leków.
