Substancją czynną Forlax jest makrogol 4000, którego zawartość to 10 gramów na saszetkę. Substancje pomocnicze wymienione są bez podawania ich gramatury i są to: sacharyna sodowa (E954), aromat pomarańczowo-grejpfrutowy [olejki eteryczne: pomarańczowy i grejpfrutowy, skoncentrowany sok pomarańczowy, cytral, aldehyd octowy, linalol, etylu maślan, alfa-terpineol, oktanal, beta-gamma-heksenol, maltodekstryna, guma arabska, sorbitol, butylowany hydroksyanizol (E320) oraz dwutlenek siarki (E220)].
