Can the use of hormonal contraception be used to denoise progesterone test results?

Is progesterone 0.9 (forks 0.1 - 0.3 in the follicular phase) on the 7th day of the cycle normal for a person who has a hormonal contraceptive, more precisely vibin mini? Can the medicine increase or change the result?

Wyniki badań hormonów płciowych podczas stosowania antykoncepcji hormonalnej nie są miarodajne, dlatego też nie wykonuje się ich rutynowo. Wyniki mogą być zależne m.in. od tego jaki preparat antykoncepcyjny stosujemy (np. tabletki jedno czy dwuskładnikowe).

Vibin mini należy do dwuskładnikowych hormonalnych środków antykoncepcyjnych do stosowania doustnego. Zawiera syntetyczne hormony z grupy estrogenów (etynyloestradiol) oraz z grupy progestagenów (drospirenon). Zawarty w tabletkach progestagen to związek o budowie bardzo podobnej do progesteronu, przez co mógł zafałszować wynik badań.
