Uważa się, że ogólnie w czasie krwawienia nie należy stosować leków dopochwowych, ponieważ nie mają one szansy prawidłowo zadziałać - są wypłukiwane przez krew miesiączkową. Natomiast w czasie krwawienia można spróbować przyjmować probiotyk ginekologiczny, ale doustny. Odmienne postępowanie może w wyjątkowych przypadkach zalecić ginekolog.
