Piracetam przenika do mleka kobiet karmiących, z tego względu należy unikać stosowania piracetamu w okresie karmienia piersią lub zaprzestać karmienia piersią podczas leczenia piracetamem.
Należy podjąć decyzję w porozumieniu z lekarzem, czy przerwać karmienie piersią, czy przerwać terapię piracetamem, biorąc pod uwagę korzyści wynikające z karmienia piersią dla dziecka i korzyści wynikające z leczenia piracetamem dla kobiety.
