Can Amotaks Dis cause leg pain in a child?
12.99 zł

Good morning,.
My 9-year-old son has otitis, he was given the drug amotaks dis. He has already taken 3 doses. At night, however, he got severe pain in his leg, lack of fever and rashes. Is it some kind of allergy to the drug? I've read a lot here about such symptoms after amoxicalin. Pass it on ? What to do because today is Sunday.

It is difficult to assess the reason for the child's leg pain (this is not a known adverse reaction reported in the summary of product characteristics). The hypersensitivity reaction to antibiotics is often quite rapid, accompanied by skin symptoms (spots/hives), and in severe cases - swelling and breathing difficulties. The occurrence of these symptoms is an indication for immediate medical consultation.

If the described ailments persist the next day, I encourage you to consult the problem with a pediatrician. On our website, it is possible to use a teleconsultation with a paediatrician - the service is available in the e-visit tab:
