The doctor prescribed me Thionerv 600, after taking it I got seizures and chills, nausea and vomiting. Can I be allergic to any of the ingredients? I have type 2 diabetes and gallstones. Thank you

Theoretically, Thionerv should not cause the described ailments. Alpha lipoic acid, which is the main ingredient of the supplement, occurs naturally in the human body and in many food products. It reduces oxidative stress (counteracts the influence of free radicals on tissues), improves the endothelial functions of blood vessels and cells of the nervous system. The preparation can be used in children from 3 years of age, so it has a high safety profile.

Each patient may show individual sensitivity to certain ingredients of drugs and supplements. You can try other supplements with alpha lipoic acid, e.g. Alanerv, Alfaridine.
