Yes, these symptoms may occur at the beginning of treatment with Soolantra, as the medicine causes temporary burning, irritation, itching or periodic worsening of erythema in some patients.
However, if the symptoms persist for several days, are clearly unpleasant, or the skin looks worse than before, it is worth contacting your doctor, as you may need to adjust the treatment or assess whether there is excessive irritation. Please also make sure that the product is applied very thinly, once a day, all over the face, avoiding the area around the eyes, lips and mucous membranes, and that the cosmetics do not aggravate the symptoms of irritation.
