Why the price Elvanse is disproportionate to the dose? Why don't higher doses represent a multiplicity of smaller doses?
Why is the price of Elvanse disproportionate to the dose? Prices vary slightly between individual doses. For example, between 30mg and 70mg, the difference is about 30 PLN. The available doses on the Polish market do not allow you to take a multiple of a lower dose in order to obtain a higher dose. Did the manufacturer justify it somehow?

Elvanse is a non-reimbursed preparation and its price depends on the price at which the manufacturer distributes the drug to pharmaceutical wholesalers (manufacturer's pricing policy). The final price depends, m.in, on the conditions of purchase of the drug in the wholesaler specified in the agreement between a particular pharmacy and wholesaler. Perhaps the main cost of a drug is not the active substance, but e.g. drug registration, quality control.
The dosage of Elvanse usually starts at 30 mg and then the dose can be increased if necessary. Typically, the dose is increased by 20 mg every week, giving us doses of 50 mg, 70 mg. The higher, recommended doses are not multiples of smaller doses.
In rare cases, your doctor may recommend starting treatment with a dose of 20 mg. In this case, doses of 40 mg and 60 mg are not available.
