Normally, the dose of 120 mg per day is the maximum daily dose of Kostarox (etoricoxib) and is used only in certain situations, most often for a short time (e.g. in an acute attack of pain, such as gout). This is not the recommended dose for long-term use.
For chronic diseases such as osteoarthritis, lower doses (e.g. 30–60 mg per day) are usually used to reduce the risk of side effects.
You should not increase the dose yourself – if the drug does not work enough, it is better to consult a doctor to modify the therapy.
