The indications for the use of Intrarosa are vaginal and vulvar atrophy in postmenopausal women. The drug supports the restoration of the mucous membrane within the vagina, as well as lowers the pH to normal values, allowing the colonization of the normal bacterial flora (and at the same time eliminating the flora responsible for intimate infections and urinary tract).

The use of hormonal drugs vaginally is usually associated with less exposure and risk of side effects than taking oral drugs with a similar composition. Intrarosa is recommended in the case of bothersome symptoms that adversely affect the patient's quality of life. Evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment should be carried out by a gynaecologist at least once every six months. Significant improvement is usually noticeable within a few weeks of starting treatment. It is difficult to assess the benefit-risk ratio without complete patient medical data.
