Elidel may cause temporary burning of the skin. In addition, the excipients contained in the drug (stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol and propylene glycol) can cause a local allergic reaction and irritation of the epidermis. Very strong, persistent ailments are an indication to stop using the drug and consult a doctor about the possibility of other treatment.
